Income Tax assessees will now be able to file their income tax returns (ITR) on mobile also. TheIncome Tax Department will launch a new mobile-friendly portal called e-filing 2.0 for filing income tax returns on June 7, 2021.

The Department has said that it will be easy to use the new portal through mobile phones and information regarding pre-filled income tax details, ITR Form and Saral Income Tax facilities will be made available on the new portal. Ahead of the launch of the new portal, the e-filing services will not be available for six days between June 1 and 6, 2021.
